We took our food to eat out at the mere but noticed the dining area looked very clean and separate from the counter. We each had a cold salad bap and a cake and spent just under £15 altogether, which was very good value considering we had to take one of the cakes home because we were too full up! The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. The only criticism is there is not much space by the counter when people are getting served and you’re trying to look at what is in the display but the fact that it is so busy says how good the food is. The team at Pete’s provided a grazing buffet for a party. Wow! Delicious food, beautifully presented. A wide variety to suit different people, everyone commented how good the food was. Excellent friendly service, it was easy to order the food and the team were very helpful delivering and setting up the display. Thank you so much, we will definitely be recommending you to anyone looking for something like this.

The amount of food you get, and the quality of the food was just incredible and such good value for money. We couldn't finish the box in one go so it was even better to have leftovers. Very disappointing have been for Breakfast twice here as its one of our local cafes it was poor the first time but thought we would try it again and still disappointing. The Breakfast was very greasy as if the bacon and sausage had been cooked in a chip fryer. When you bit into the hash brown it was full of oil and the toast it slathered in butter which was very off putting i left my breakfast. Such a shame as had other food and cakes here that have been really nice. Think the breakfast could be better value if a drink was included as well as we have been to many other cafes where this is included making it a better deal.- Wait time

It's a very strange review. Pete's is actually well known as a 'greasy spoon' so to say. We don't pretend or claim to be anything different. I suggest you don't have the breakfasts....there are many other things on the menu. ☺️
We had a chicken sandwich with Brie and cranberry was to die for. We had it with the salad (very fresh) and the cole slaw (delicious). Service with a smile. I would highly recommend eating there.

Had a brilliant lunch here with my wife and just had a very nice time. Well worth a visit for some lovely lunch or breakfast

Best cafe I've ever been too! I was tempted by everything. Had some amazing sausage rolls, raspberry crumble & custard. Even got a peice of flapjack. All of the food was beautiful and the homemade bread is to die for!

All the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, decor is stunning and the food was incredible.
We went and had food by the lake from Petes but I must add the atmosphere seemed very friendly and welcoming based on the short time we were in the shop due to an incredibly efficient service.
One of our boys is very selective in what he eats which is usually a nightmare for us however nothing was too much trouble!
Highly recommend the tuna pasta as basic as that sounds, it was like no other! Very fairly priced and portions were more than generous!
Environmentally friendly packaging also which is obviously the way of the world now.
Car parking also right next door so no hassel from that point of view!

Amazing. Beautiful food, excellent customer service, lovely decor, friendly bunch of staff & a huge menu choice. I just wish you'd design some seating area for the bigger person lol (or maybe I should lose some weight) but that's impossible when you serve such delicious food.

A minor problem or inconvenience, when u walk past there's this magnet that connects your nose and the cafe, i feel the connection and boom a few bob later walking out with a bag, I don't know how this happens lol but Thank you guys your all great, quality food is top!

This is a hidden gem in a lovely little place the breakfast is amazing but I also suggest anything else on offer for afters slices of cake and other treats you will not be let down absolutely amazing

Fabulous family run business- everything made fresh. Portion sizes are MASSIVE and food quality is amazing. Kelsey and Christy make the best cakes & sausage rolls, they are defiantly a must!!! Also they do fabulous buffet meals for special occasions - all our guests loved the buffet food which Pete’s provided. Thank you very much
